In January 2023 we had a new garden shed complete with chook run to replace the old leaky hot tub house.
In January 2023 we had a lot of rain, then it froze again.

In January 2023 we loaded a second skip with rubbish from the garden.
The cold spells continued in January, last night (20th Jan) was -5.5degC.
Then late January the chooks came back and we got our first egg on Feb 2nd 2023.
The weather turned cold again, minus 4.1 overnight - sunrise 6th Feb 2023.
Buckingham Palace acknowledged my letter about planting trees 7th Feb 2023.
In March a path was added and 5 fruit trees planted.
Then it SNOWED - in MARCH !.
In April 2023 we saw some daffodils and then at the month end bluebells in the lane.
In April 2023 Jan opened some new flower beds to accomodate all the new plants.
In May we installed our first Tesla PowerWall 2 to buffer the solar panel output.
In May we started work on the bathroom.
By May 17th the bathroom was sort of done - lots of small re-fits to be done.
The start of summer (June 1st) means the lane verges are growing like crazy.
We updated the car charger to a Zappi V2.
The tiny wild meadow with it's solitary orchid.
June 10th they completed harvesting the south field for feed.
Late June the garden is taking shape.

It's July and the pregnant cows are in the south field.
And Rhydian has been let out in the east field again - he loves carrots.

A crew marked our potholes for repair but the rain and traffic wore them away!!
In August(2nd) SP Energy turned off the power to update the 11Kv install next door. We lived on solar and the PowerWall 2.
The not so small sunflower is self seeded from bird food.

More problems with the brand new, fitted in January, Vent-axia MVHR.
The new unit had a fan fault.

Engineer brought the wrong spare part because the new unit was not the same as the old one and noone told us.
So a second visit was required.
November
A week of electrical work to move units and switches, add functionality and improve safety.

A long list of items to improve user convenience.
November 25th
The temperature dropped 15 degC from midnight to midnight, but the dawn was magical.
November 28th - myenergi reset the whole control system, EDDI, ZAPPI, Harvi & Hub to make heating schedules work.
November 29th - The MVHR unit has had 3 service calls and now seems to be functioning OK.
December 1st - The heat pump settings were updated to improve defrosting.
We awoke on 3rd Dec to a light fall of snow.
