As far as we can tell the house was constructed in 1947. Some design details suggest that the design was limited by the current Building Regulations at that time.
The land was purchased from a farm that was split off the huge historic Ford's Farm, Twyford, Shropshire (now Twyford Farm, SY11 4JN) many years ago.

The deeds show the location as being entitled 'Cunloo', some documents refer to 'Cynloo' but this is probably a pronouciation issue. The Welsh language does not attribute a meaning to Cunloo, the Romainian language uses the word.
The property was known as 'Rosie Cottage' from 2009 when planning for the kitchen extension was granted.

In early November 2022 we had great excitement - a police car in Twyford Lane.
Then a couple of days later the local Fire Brigade came by trying to locate a farm fire next door. Our lane is a dead end so they had to U-turn and go back.

In late November 2022 we planted a silver birch tree to acknowledge the King's request to plant a tree.

In December 2022 we had a very cold spell and one morning the temperature overnight had been -15C but morning brought the sunshine.

During this period the heat pump froze up and we were out at 2am pouring warm water over it to save it from damage.

During the winter of 2022, in the week before Christmas (13th Dec), the MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) drain froze with an outside temp of -15degC and the unit filled with water.
At 4am the electric power RCCD tripped and the loft filled with water which had built up in the MVHR unit.
It damaged a brand new double bed with water pouring from the chandelier !
The MVHR was replaced on Jan 4th 2023.
We now have WiFi enabled temperature alarms on the Vent-Axia drain and in the loft.
